First in, First out (A Pooping Story)

High Fiber

Ok, I felt as though I needed to write this post.

Back in the beginning of this journey. I was looking for low Glycemic Index foods when I discovered Lintel Pasta and Zero Bread (high fiber).

They have very low numbers on the Glycemic Index.

I decided to try them to see if I could bring my numbers down even more in my food journal.

So I bought a box of Lintel Pasta and a loaf of Zero Bread. Man my meal numbers were very low and I was able to eat enough to feel satisfied. I thought, perfect, this is the way to go.

Then two days go by and I haven’t pooped yet. Three days, not yet. Four days, five days.

Now I am starting to worry. I was usually only 2 days, at the most maybe 3. I knew how painful it was going to be when it finally did come out. The only thing I was doing different was the Lintel Pasta and Zero Bread (high fibre).

So I stopped eating them and started to do a tablespoon full of extra virgin olive oil each morning. After about a couple of days I finally pooped. OUCH!!

First In

I kept doing the olive oil each morning and started becoming regular again but I noticed that it seemed a little easier than before.

So I continued to consume 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil each morning.

Now I usually go in the morning. And it comes out easy. No straining, no pain.

I call it FIRST IN, FIRST OUT.

Because the first thing in is something smooth and easy to pass. It is also part of the first thing that I consume in the morning after pooping.

Still Working

I still to this day make sure that I have 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil each morning without fail. I usually cook my egg whites (because egg yolks are through the roof with Cholesterol and Saturated Fat) in it for my first meal in the morning. Sometimes if I am running late I will put it in my coffee. If nothing else I will take it straight off of the spoon.

So in my case the First in, First out rule works beautifully. Eventually my pattern of using the bathroom became a morning thing before breakfast.

Good luck to you as you start consuming more fiber to slow down the conversion process of sugar to glucose in the blood

Remember, First in, First out. For me it was a God send.
